Educationally, Dr. P C Gupta completed his MBBS from the esteemed Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, and furthered his academic journey with an MS in Surgery from PGIMER, Chandigarh. His pursuit of excellence led him to a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Nagoya University School of Medicine, Japan. Additionally, he underwent specialized training in carotid surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA, and complex aortic surgery at Methodist Hospital, Houston, USA.
Dr. P C Gupta's prolific career includes over 30 scientific publications in National and International Journals. Notable contributions encompass the documentation of the first case globally involving the operation of carotid aneurysms during pregnancy, chapters in textbooks, research on ischemia-reperfusion injury, varicose veins, neointimal hyperplasia, and stem cell therapy, among other groundbreaking topics. As a co-author, he has contributed to the Global Vascular Guidelines for the management of CLTI. Dr. P C Gupta also serves on the Editorial Board of the Indian Journal of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery, the European Journal of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery and Journal of Vascular Surgery: Vascular Insights. Further, he plays a pivotal role as a teacher and examiner for DrNB in Vascular Surgery, showcasing his commitment to education and mentorship.
